How to upload files with File Manager

File Manager lets you manage your website’s files without any extra software. Your main website’s files live in the public_html folder.

cPanel › Files › File Manager

1. Log in to cPanel.
2. In the Files section, click File Manager.
3. Open the public_html folder (or your other domain’s folder).
4. Click Upload in the toolbar.
5. Drag your files onto the page, or click Select File.
6. When the upload finishes, click Go Back to the folder.

Upload a whole website at once

Zip your website folder on your computer, upload the .zip file, then right-click it in File Manager and choose Extract.

Deleted files go to the trash in File Manager unless you choose to skip it. Take a backup before making big changes.

Can’t find it? Type the tool’s name into the search box at the top of cPanel.
