PHP is the programming language WordPress and many other apps are built on. Newer versions are faster and more secure, but older plugins may need an older version.
cPanel › Software › MultiPHP Manager
- Log in to cPanel.
- In the Software section, click MultiPHP Manager.
- Tick the domain you want to change.
- Choose the version from the PHP Version menu.
- Click Apply.
Test your website straight after changing PHP. If something breaks, switch back to the previous version.
To change PHP settings such as the upload size limit, use MultiPHP INI Editor in the same section.
Can’t find it? Type the tool’s name into the search box at the top of cPanel.
