How to restore your website from a backup

Restore files, databases or email settings from a backup, or ask us to restore one of your daily backups.

Restore from a backup you downloaded

cPanel › Files › Backup

  1. Log in to cPanel.
  2. In the Files section, click Backup.
  3. Under Restore a Home Directory Backup, choose your home directory backup file and click Upload.
  4. Under Restore a MySQL Database backup, choose a database backup file and click Upload.
  5. Restore Email Forwarders and Email Filters the same way if needed.

Restoring overwrites your current files or database with the backup copy. Download a fresh backup first if you might need the current version.
